Strong positive leadership is the key to EHS performance. Commit to the belief that safety is good, valuable and beneficial and your workforce will start to believe it too.

Commitment alone, however, is not enough. Every leader must behave like they believe it - every day.

This is harder to achieve and requires determination and dedication. It also requires a process, a method, which promotes change over time - and the first step (after commitment) is to achieve a business which is compliant. Lack of effective systems and the competence to run them undermines performance.
